but in time we all forgot and we all grew

Oh hey look, more talking about The Office??? Specifically Ryan Howard and his deleted scenes?? SHUT UP YOU DON'T KNOW MY LIFE.
There were two deleted scenes from the past two episodes that filled me with unspeakable glee.
"When do you ever take responsibility for your actions?"
"Get off my ass, you hag."
I know I know, Ryan's a douche for calling her a hag. I can't help it, it kills me. Especially with Michael's "hey hey, something about that seems inappropriate," and Pam's look at the camera. RYAN AND PAM BICKERING = NEW FAVORITE.
UM HI I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN EVEN TALK ABOUT THIS!!!!!!! THAT IS HOW MUCH I LOVE IT.
Ryan, with layers! And self-loathing! And having an epic meltdown! EVERYTHING HE TOUCHES IS A FAILURE. HE ACTUALLY BELIEVED IN THE MICHAEL SCOTT PAPER COMPANY. I feel like this scene adds so much to his character and explains so much. Like, is this why he decided to become a douchebag slacker? Because he fails at everything so he decided to stop trying altogether?
I also love how he says he's "taking responsibility" for flipping out, because it's totally a response to Pam telling him he never takes responsibility. And the CHEESE PUFF TOSSING to Michael! And at the very end, "...Where'd Pam go?" Oh my god, that cracks me up so hard.
I figured out that in the timeline this must have come just before the commiseration/Thailand reveal scene, which means Pam couldn't have been completely freaked out (or she kinda got over it). I wonder what she thinks of Ryan after all this. I wonder if she, Michael, and Ryan are going to maintain any sort of "bond" for having gone through that experience together.
Probably that is too much to hope for. STILL, I DARE TO DREAM.
And, uh, I may have started writing a Pam and Ryan fic? Not Pam/Ryan, necessarily, and who knows if I'll finish it because I am crazy busy lately and haven't even written any fic at all in forever.
Oh, have I mentioned how much I'm looking forward to that new FOX show, Glee? The promos with the a capella Journey song give me chills. It's ridiculous.

And yeah, the cut scenes were hilarious. But last week's episode was pretty packed, so they must've had to trim for time.
