I really love how you can slip in the little details and with such little words, yet they're completely effective and paint the idea perfectly. Even if Max's ideas are fragmented and so far from being that perfect little puzzle where everything fits, you can so flawlessly describe those thoughts in his head, and sigh, Max!
You helped put my finger on why I associate the song with Max's feelings, too - he's going through a completely hazy circle, and it's dizzying and and kind of the best thing ever while the circle keeps going, but he knows it's going to be cut off eventually, and GUH.
